Bears Naturistas: more than a naturist meetup

Since 2011, Bears Naturistas has been organizing naturist retreats for gay men across Spain. Our next event takes place in Barbate (Cádiz) from October 9–12, 2026, at Hacienda La Yerbabuena—featuring a pool, community vibes, and an answer to the most common question: *What if I go alone?*

Bears Naturistas 2026: Gay Naturist Retreat in Barbate

Since 2011, Bears Naturistas has organized meetups for gay men. Here, naturism matters less than the people you end up sharing a pool with: four days off your routine, where bodies stop being newsworthy within hours.

You can come alone, as a couple, or with friends, whatever your age. Come as you are, whether you've done this before or not: nobody asks for explanations, you just need to feel like having a good time and meeting new people.

You arrive not knowing anyone, you leave with a full contacts list

Sharing a pool, a table and long, unhurried meals over several days does something that's hard to explain until you've lived it: people who arrive without knowing anyone are part of the group within two days. For some, it's just a different kind of getaway. For others — who don't get many chances to be around other gay men in their day-to-day life — it's a lot more than that: a space where you don't have to perform any particular version of yourself.

It's one of the reasons so many attendees come back year after year.

Next stop: Barbate, October 9–12, 2026

The next Bears Naturistas meetup takes place at Hacienda La Yerbabuena, in Barbate (Costa de la Luz, Cádiz), from Friday, October 9 at 4pm to Monday, October 12 at 11:30pm. Four days on a private estate with air-conditioned apartments, wifi and terraces, a naturist pool and sundeck, large gardens, and an indoor lounge in case the weather doesn't cooperate.

The package includes accommodation, all meals, an excursion through towns along the Costa de la Luz, and the usual themed parties. Prices range from €295 per person in a triple room to €354 in a double (single rooms are already sold out), and there's also a one-day pass for €28, for anyone who'd rather try it out before committing to the full stay.

Spots are limited.

First time? Almost everyone arrives alon

One of the questions the organization gets asked most is whether you can show up without knowing anyone. Yes, and it's more normal than you'd think. Joan Martínez, from Bears Naturistas, puts it this way:

"Don't worry: we're a group of people who already know each other, but there's always new people joining, and we love that. We know it can feel a bit scary at first, but we know how to make everyone feel like part of the family."

After Barbate, the calendar keeps going

Barbate isn't a one-off event — it's the next stop on a calendar Bears Naturistas has been building since 2011, already planning 2027 with stops in Sitges, Vera, Barcelona and Benidorm, plus a return to Barbate in October. Dates and prices for each edition get confirmed and published gradually, so if this one doesn't work for you, there's probably room at the next.

So go on: come discover an adventure full of bears, good vibes, and round-the-clock nudism.

If you live in Barcelona, it's easy to stay stuck in the same circuit: the same clubs, the same faces, the same Friday sauna night. Barbate is just a flight or a few hours' drive away, but it feels a lot further — and that distance is exactly the point.
