The program for QLit, the queer literature festival, is finally here! This year marks the 9th edition of the event. QLit serves as a gathering and reflection space for readers interested in LGBTI+ themes. This year, the festival takes place on October 15 and 16 at La Bonne – Francesca Bonnemaison Women's Cultural Center (Sant Pere Més Baix Street, 7). The festival is free and open to everyone with no prior registration required. Book stalls run by the Antinous bookstore will be available during the event. Program Thursday, October 15 4:00 PM — LGBTIQ+ Literary Memes Workshop with amemsillegim (registration required via aelc@escriptors.cat). 5:15 PM — «Anthologizing Desire». Panel with Raquel Casas, Lídia Gázquez, Maria Antònia Massanet, and Anna Noguer. Moderated by Mar Sifre. 6:30 PM — «Personal Relationships: From Fiction to Friction». Dialogue between Eva Baltasar and Carles Rebassa. Moderated by Marina Espasa. Friday, October 16 4:00 PM — 9th "Imagina un amor" Catalan LGBTI+ Short Story Contest. Award ceremony hosted by Montserrat Escopinya with readings by Pau Coya, Txus García, and Muriel Villanueva. 5:15 PM — «Non-Fiction and Auto-Fiction». Panel with Teresa Broseta, Carles Cortés, and Març Llinàs. Moderated by Oriol Osan. 6:30 PM — «Queer Poetics Round Trip». Poetry recital featuring artists from Euskal Herria and the Catalan Countries, with Oihana Arana, Itxaro Borda, Ria Dueñas, Angel Erro, Biel Mesquida, and Martí Sales, accompanied by music from Anna Pantinat. Supported by CEDRO and the Institution of Catalan Letters, in collaboration with the Barcelona City Council and La Bonne.
